- Mercedes-Benz presents for the first time new generation off-roaders, to make the best of every terrain
- GL meets S - First-class performance on and off the road
- 4MATIC – Greater driving dynamics, greater traction, greater safety
In May 2016, Mercedes-Benz reported its 38th record month in succession after announcing around 65,000 vehicle deliveries in the first four months of the year worldwide. The strong contributors to the unprecedented success are the SUVs which have been recently considered as strategic segments developed to cater the increasing customers’ demand to make the best of every terrain.
For the first time in Myanmar, Mercedes-Benz showcase its SUV fleet with total 3 cars in display, including GLA, GLC, and GLS, and 4 cars for test drive, including the GLA, GLS and the G-Class. The cars are presented in Mercedes-Benz designed area where you will be inspired and shown the car for all that they can be, for places they can take you and for boundaries you can cross.
Starting with the always restless GLA-Class, Mercedes-Benz presents the car that is built to be always on the move, flaunting a freedom loving attitude and arousing longings. Aimed first and foremost at a modern, young and active target group, GLA possess a progressive design, serenity in day-to-day motoring with an off-road capability. As a young wanderer between automotive applications, the Mercedes-Benz GLA impressively reinterprets the compact SUV segment with its versatility to take on all the hurdles of everyday life.
Later comes the second generation GLC in its top form. Under all operating conditions the new mid‑size SUV excels with the outstanding safety that is a hallmark of the brand, the latest assistance systems and energy efficiency. Fuel consumption has been cut by up to 19 percent compared with the previous model. At the same time, the extended range of DYNAMIC SELECT dynamic transmission modes and the 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive increase not only the ride comfort, but also the vehicle's sporty agility - whatever surface it is driving on.
Leading the pack is the iconic G-Class. Presenting in this SUV summit, the G63 AMG put its 400 kW (544 hp) AMG 5.5‑litre V8 biturbo engine to reality test in Mandalay hilly territory. Every new AMG high-performance vehicle offers an outstanding mix of “more power from less fuel” – and the G 63 AMG is no exception. The design has been comprehensively reworked, so that, for the first time in the 33-year history of the G-Class, AMG customers can enjoy a raft of future-oriented systems: spray-controlled petrol direct injection, the ECO start/stop function and generator management.
Each and every member of the SUVs range has within its gene the power to conquer all terrain. They are born to take their owners off the beaten track and experience that real power comes from ability to be ready and take up every challenge that come their way.
